1. Agreement to Terms
By using Ranccoon, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, that's cool—just don't use the service. We're an indie tool built for makers, so we keep things straightforward. These terms apply to everyone who uses Ranccoon, whether you're on the free plan or paying for premium features.
2. Description of Service
Ranccoon is a Domain Rating tracking tool. We automatically fetch and display Domain Rating data for domains you add. We provide charts, alerts, badges, and other features to help you monitor your website's authority. We're not an SEO agency, consulting firm, or magic ranking solution—just a simple tracking tool.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
You need an account to use Ranccoon. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.
Account Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ranccoon. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person or entity can't maintain multiple free accounts to avoid limits.
4. Acceptable Use
Use Ranccoon responsibly. Don't:
- •Try to hack, break, or abuse the service
- •Use automated tools to spam our API or scrape data
- •Impersonate others or provide false information
- •Use Ranccoon for illegal purposes
- •Violate anyone's intellectual property rights
- •Interfere with or disrupt the service
If you violate these rules, we can suspend or terminate your account. Randy doesn't tolerate bad behavior.
5. Pricing and Payments
Free Plan
Ranccoon offers a free tier with basic Domain Rating tracking. This plan is free forever, but has limitations on features and update frequency.
Premium Plan
Premium features are available for $5/month. Payment is processed through a third-party payment provider. You can cancel anytime. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis—just reach out if you have issues.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change prices, but we'll give you at least 30 days notice. If you're already subscribed, your current rate is locked in for your billing cycle.
6. Data and Accuracy
We fetch Domain Rating data from third-party sources (like Ahrefs). We do our best to provide accurate information, but we can't guarantee 100% accuracy. Domain Rating data may vary between sources, and third-party APIs can have delays or errors. We're not responsible for inaccuracies in the data we display. Use Ranccoon as a tool, not as the sole source of truth for your SEO strategy.
7. Intellectual Property
Our Content
Ranccoon, including our logo, mascot (Randy), design, and code, is owned by us. You can't copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. The Domain Rating data we display belongs to the third-party sources we use.
Your Content
You own the domains you add and any content you create. By using Ranccoon, you grant us permission to fetch and display data about your domains. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to track domains you add.
8. Service Availability
We try to keep Ranccoon running 24/7, but we can't guarantee it. Sometimes things break, APIs go down, or we need to do maintenance. We'll do our best to minimize downtime, but we're not liable if the service is unavailable. We're a small indie tool, not AWS. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.
9. Limitation of Liability
Ranccoon is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. We're not responsible for business decisions you make based on Domain Rating data. Use Ranccoon as a tool, but don't blame us if your rankings don't improve. We track data, we don't guarantee results.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, you lose access to your data. We'll try to give you a chance to export your data first, but we're not required to keep it forever.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the service. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when these terms were last revised. Your continued use of Ranccoon after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved through [arbitration/courts]. We're an indie tool, so let's try to resolve issues amicably first before lawyers get involved.
